Fall 2026 Rush is over. Thank you to everyone who came out to Sip, Chat & Connect, Puppies & PCT, our info sessions, and Family Feud. We recruit again in the spring, and we'll post the dates on Instagram.

How Rush Works

Every Rush follows the same three steps. The dates and events change each semester.

  1. 01

    Informal Rush

Anyone can come. There are a couple of events outside on campus, two info sessions, a professional development night, and a game night. No sign-up needed, so come to whichever ones you can.

  2. 02

    The Application

It opens on the first day of Rush and stays open for about two weeks. We ask for your major, a short essay, your résumé, and a headshot.

  3. 03

    Formal Rush

Formal Rush is by invitation. Invites are based on your application and on the conversations you had with us during Informal Rush. It runs over a few nights, and bids go out at the end of the week.

What We Look For

You don't need to know what a DCF is. We're looking for people who want to learn and who show up for others. Your application, résumé, and grades matter, but so do the conversations you have with us at events.

  • Curiosity about business, whatever your background
  • Following through on what you commit to
  • Looking out for the people around you
  • Being willing to try things you haven't done before

Questions

If your question isn't here, email unc.pct@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram. Our VPs of Recruitment, Ally Frank and Brian Lo, will get back to you.

Do I have to be a business major?
No. Our members study business, economics, public policy, health policy, and more. Pre-business students are welcome, and so is anyone with a business-related minor.
What year do I need to be?
You can Rush as a first-year, sophomore, or junior.
Do I have to go to every event?
No, but try to make it to a few. It's the best way for us to get to know you, and for you to get to know us.
Is Phi Chi Theta co-ed?
Yes. It was founded as a women's fraternity in 1924 and opened to everyone in 1976.
How much time does it take?
There's a chapter meeting every week, plus committee work and a couple of professional events each month. New member education lasts seven weeks and is the busiest part.
How do I hear about Spring Rush?
Follow @uncpct on Instagram. We post the dates there, along with a link to the Rush GroupMe.
